Not sure if this is the right forum, so apologies in advance.

Ok, so most of the rubber that got my 360CS after Willow comes off with water and a towell and a lot of rubbing. It's all over. Is there something I could safely use in addition to water to break of the tire rubber but not harm the paint? Someone suggested WD40, but I'm hestitant to try without hearing from others.

    thanks,

Try 3M Adhesive Remover. You should be able to buy it at any decent auto parts store like Pep Boys. Sometimes Home Depot or Lowe's will have it. It's great and is totally safe on cured auto paint. It will strip off the wax (in fact that's what my clearbra/xpel installer uses to prep the paint), so give it a little waxing afterwards.

I hear a product called Goof Off also works very well.

This is an old drag racer's trick: spread a light layer of petroleum jelly on the areas behind the wheel wells before you start driving. It washes off easily and absorbs the clag that would normally stick to the paint.

I was told by the local body shop that lighter fluid is good for removing tar deposits so I would imagine it would work for the rubber too.
