    at the risk of soundling like a simpleton, perhaps you might put up a web page at that address that says "this domain naime is for sale" :)

    i bought one recently that did exactly that.

    heh heh charge a gazillion times more than it's worth!

    i recently wanted to buy the domain xonenine.com (X1/9) off of a guy who hasn't used it for ages so i could let fellow X guys host pics and vids of their cars, he said he'd have given it to me for free but he let it expire but gave me the details of the guy who had it now.

    i contacted him, he got back to me and said "for my troubles you can have it for $900."

    bwahahaa.... i told him he was dreamin and offered him $20 bucks.

    what's the point really?

    That's what I'd do - the first thing I've done whenever looking to buy a web address is type the website in and see what's there. Don't forget to include contact details - so many web addresses that are for sale it takes you forever to track down the person who actually owns it

    - DNforum.com
    - also, change your whois information to include *for sale*

    There are many other sites to sell (Sedo, Afternic, etc.) and forums work too.
