Hi I am restoring my 308 gtb wiring loom and have been unable to source the gloss black pvc sleeving. I can get plain black though in sizes upto 25mm. I am thinking however about using heat shrink as with this option it is a lot easier as I don't have to remove all the plugs. When I did this on my dino before it was really difficult threading the wiring into the pvc tubes without using tubes which are too baggy. Does anyone have any experience in this to provide tips please.

If you're not worried about OEM look or original restoration take a look here.
    www.wirecare.com

Just about every type of sleeve and connector one could imagine.

Once it is shrunk, heat shrink tubing tends to be tough and does not bend well.

Forgot to add, OEM I believe is black PVC sleeving. Should be fairly easy to get, it's a very common sleeve for electrical cable.

+1 on that. I like braided sleeving best. The OP should be able to find a source for good braided sleeving in the UK. You could also go with wiring harness tape. There are few different types including cloth, vinyl and rubber.

Do a google search or youtube search for wiring harness tape. I have used a self-vulcanized type tape for this. I like it as no adhesive and you do a 50% wrap using a thin self vulcanizing tape. Sticks to itself without adhesive.

I have used and found wire harness tape from Tesa to be very good. It is available in the UK.

3M also makes several types of wire harness tapes.

Avoid common electrical tape ... the adhesive will melt or run out in high conditions.

Thanks I have gone for the heat shrink supplied by
Aes I had some in white which I tried to see what it was like. It gives a flexible tight fit which apart from not being gloss is as close as I can get without removing all the plugs. Will post pics when done.
