All, looking to add a Y-pipe to my exhaust setup to add a little noise once the value opens. My setup up so far is.

    Tubi-Stule manifolds/headers
    De-cat test pipes
    Capristo back box

I’m going to replace de-cats/test pipes with sport cats, it’s it’s a little too loud and drones at low rpm.

Which manufacture would you recommend for a Y-pipe? Cars is a 5.2.

I have been pondering on getting a top Y pipe for a decade. Just can't justify the price for what it is even after all this time.

Our car has the Fabspeed Y-Pipe. It made the wide-open sound a little more throaty.

We have Fabspeed headers, gutted aftermarket cats, and an older Tubi muffler.

Did you notice a significant pitch change with the fabspeed headers? I like the idea of an improved 4-1 design but don’t want to sacrifice the high pitch wail

Considering there isn’t much going on with Y-pipes, main objective would be to simply decat, which the Tubi does and it also comes with heat shielding. Most other Y-pipes do not.

I have a Fabspeed Y-Pipe on my 95 along with HyperFlow Cats and Tubi headers and Nouvalari SS Muffler
And Yes, The Y Pipe does make a difference. Now the car shoots flames on full throttle upshifts! :)

Depends on how you judge a Y-pipe. Probably insignificant difference in sound since they're all just bits of tube. For looks go with the Kreissieg, for heat insulation go with the Tubi.

I’ve got a 2.7 and have the fabspeed Y pipe. Not sure what advantage one vendor has over the other if it’s catless.

No difference than looks, it's only straight pipes, not rocket science, comes down to cost in my opinion, buy the cheapest.

having a decat ypipe is very nice, if didn't know, the stock ypipe has cats in it.. offers excellent change over when valve opens..
in my 8 years ownership.. my current setup has been the best sounding..
Fabspeed headers, sport cats, Nouvalari ypipe and Tubi Evolution exhaust.
personally stock cats or sport cats.. is the better setup, coupled with a decat ypipe.. I simply could not stand the smell when I used primary cat deletes for 2 seasons..

as always Nouvalari has the better price point, so I went with that.
I simply spray coated it by hand with high temp paint.. and has been fine..
the only issue I had with Nouvalari, was some fitment issue. the outlet diameter to the bypass valve was too small.
and had to be grinded a bit, so that the bypass valve lined up/inserted properly.. otherwise been running it 3 years no issues..

as beautiful Tubi always is.. probably an arm and a leg for their ypipe.. for a bit of bent tubing.. on that note I bought my tubi evolution used, would never pay retail lol..

Kreissieg makes the ultimate exhaust for the F355 (and many Ferrari’s). It is unusual to see for multiple reasons:

    1) huge lead time
    2) the ultimate muffler (which is the best F355 muffler on earth) is twice the price of everything else
    3) it is generally unknown to the American F355 world.

The Swirl pipe is the only “Y-Pipe” that will get you close to “F1” type of sound. I’m not stating that it sounds like an F1 car, but you’re not gonna reach the highest pitch a 355 can make with a “Y-pipe.”

No “Y” pipe can get close to the swirls high pitch.

It couldn't possibly matter, there is no "swirl". The pipes leading to the collector are just longer and enter a straight collector (and then bypass valve plate immediately after)

Pitch would be influenced by tubing diameter and possibly collector length which would change exhaust velocity.
