Better headlights for an 87 Testarossa, EU and/or Switzerland compliant

Hi guys,
does anyone know of any better headlight options for an 87 Testarossa than the original stock ones? They need to be compliant in the EU and/or in Switzerland. Maybe someone of you knows something.
The stock ones can be improved upon.
I tried the forum search function but didn't find anything that helped me.

I had a plan to put LED's in ours but have no idea if those are allowed over there.

 

As far as I know, LEDs are generally not allowed yet here.
Turbo-joe recommended that I should check out 100W H1 bulbs. And make sure that the cables are OK for that and the fuse box, too.

 

New bulbs with increased brightness will to the trick (if your ground points are clean ). Osram Night Breaker is an example.

The stock reflectors are quite good actually.

To my knowledge LED has to be certified per car / model. I doubt anyone will go down this route. It's not economically viable.

Before LEDs I used those extensively. The cars system cannot support them. You will need to use the original wiring to operate a bank of relays for the lights. I used to use 4 relays, one for each bulb and I take power straight from the battery. They will be better but from experience with each it still will not be as good as good Led's.

I forgot. The 100w H1 bulbs had a short life span.

I just ordered the H1 Osram Night Breaker Laser (Halogen). I hope it does the trick and improves the visibility. @Grease Donkey Thank you for the info.
They also seem to be certified for on the road use in Europe and don't require any tinkering with the electric wiring

If they are 100watt they will do a lot of damage if used on an unmodified system.

Those provide such a small increment increase I have never considered it worth the trouble. I used 80 watt bulbs and never considered them very good either. The 100s are worth the trouble but are not just plug and play and as I said do not last very long. LEDs are the answer. Maybe you should move to a free country.

 

Best I can do is Switzerland
As free as it gets in Europe. Very low taxes, easy gun laws. But an absolute pain when it comes to traffic. Up to 1 year mandatory prison time for speeding here
