Ferrari were sponsors of the event, just like Bobileff is a sponsor of FerrariChat. The point is Luigi has 100% control of the company, if he wants to take any guidance from Ferrari, it would be his choice and no one elses. In Luigi's post you can see he took complete responsibility for the changes.
yes, that's why I added the Daytona/Le Mans part as that was the original real #0846. Piper's car I'm sure had race wins and a lengthy history.
The goal is to repeat the lie enough so that it becomes the truth. Show it anywhere and everywhere you can and tweak the wording to dilute the truth. Over enough passing time people assume what they are being told is correct. “Must be real, I saw it at Amelie Island!!!” When millions of dollars in additional resale value are at hand it’s worth playing the perception game.
Zak is no longer involved anything Motorsport. Luigi is still a part owner, but the CEO and 100% control, just like me and FerrariChat.
Yeah, you were missing something. I got there around 8:45, there were several cars lined up ready to go on the field. They were finished by 9:15 or so. Since the showfield didn’t open to spectators until 10, I just waited at the fountain to see any interesting spectator cars that showed up, like the TDF. The timestamp of that TDF photo was 7 minutes before the field opened to everyone. It was a very good weekend, I do stand by my statement that this was the best turnout that I’ve personally seen there. I know others may disagree but I’m fine with that - I’ve only been going every year since 2017 (except last year). The rain did put a slight damper on things, and several cars were covered which made it a pain for photos. Also THOROUGHLY enjoyed my first Sunday at Mar-a-Lago, and as Rob already posted my impromptu selfie, Trump did come out to look at some of the cars. He had Secret Service with him obviously, but he encouraged everyone to follow him along the field. I’ll also say it’s been an interesting read with the political stuff behind the scenes. If it moves I will genuinely miss the location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We had a delightful weekend. Friday’s rally was a little poky. Saturday was great with lots of cars, and great people. Sunday was beautiful! The weather was our biggest concern, and it turned out to be a nice Florida weekend, weatherwise. We’ll certainly go again. Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I was told the grandson on Enzo’s cook (who was there overseeing the preparation of the food), is a chef at the world-renowned Osteria Francescana (Massimo Bottura’s place in Modena).
……who also (coincidentally?) also owns the new restaurant where Ristorante Cavallino* used to be. Yeah, gotta be a coincidence. *One Cavallino that’s definitely in the past tense.
Well, with all due respect, but I'm not sure above is a fair comparison. Should Bobileff Motor Cars choose to stop sponsoring FChat, it probably wouldn't affect or influence the business model, your management or day-to-day operations of this forum one way or another, but if Spa stopped supporting or worse, make demands on anything "F" related on Canossa roster… …. so, are we to believe the decision to sack G.B. and other IAC/PFA judges was purely/solely (100% ?) AND independently made by L.O. ? Just curious.
The NEW Cavallino Restaurant? I was there for Finali Mondiali and wish them the best but yet again, the food was borderline awful. Back to Montana I go...
You are a wise man. It's not just borderline awful, it is absolutely totally horrible and that's rather kind. Marcel Massini
Really. That’s surprising in view of Bottura’s rather outsized reputation. Perhaps he’s reached that inevitable point where the reputation exceeds the reality; or when the guy with the vision and the talent gets distracted by “new opportunities and challenges” and leaves the operation of the foundation enterprise to the staff….or outside experts.
It's all marketing speech and a lot of hot air. Obviously good self-marketing and PR. Wife and I were shocked. Marcel Massini
Yes. Sadly. I remember the old Cavallino Tortellini well. Good imo but not great. Here is the new version. Soupy, tasteless, and overcooked. And this was far better than the "Pork Ribs lacquered in Saba Sauce" that followed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thankfully there are some best kept secret tables in and around Modena but I will be selfish and not post them One, very old world, when I first visited it in 2006 had a photo of Enzo dining alone...oldest I ever saw him. Another was the scene of fifties, sixties Sunday evening chance encounters between him with family and the Orsi family who owned Maserati to the great embarrassment of the restaurant owner caught in the middle More importantly both places were fabulous dining experiences. My six months in Modena in 2006 were not always pleasant but they yielded some dinners that were beyond words! Anyway for newbies Montana and Zelmira are very good bets.
https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/news/testarossas-and-tortellini-the-new-cavallino-classic-is-still-a-huge-success.2607/ Despite the judging drama, the event appeared to be a success, and hopefully they learn from their mistakes and improve things for next year.
