beware of Paypal phishing scam

    Got this Email tonite and if you click on link brings you to a very real looking site and wants you to enter your password to see change.


    You have added [email protected] as a new email address for your
    PayPal account.

    If you did not authorize this change or if you need assistance with
    your account, please contact PayPal customer service at:

    https://www.paypal.com/row/wf/f=ap_email

    please note: the links above are correct, but the links in your email client are not. they will typically point to an IP address if you hover over them or view the actual HTML source file.

    PayPal, Ebay, and your bank do NOT ask for any kind of information. IGNORE IT, no matter what it says.

    Is definitely a scam, I forwarded it to paypal and got this back within minutes

    website linked to this email is not a registered URL authorized or used
    by PayPal. We are currently investigating this incident fully. Please do
    not enter any personal or financial information into this website.

    fraudulent website, you should immediately log into your PayPal Account
    and change your password and secret question and answer information. Any
    compromised financial information should be reported to the appropriate
    parties.

    If you notice any unauthorized activity associated with your PayPal

    See example phishing email that came today. Looks very official. Clicking on "Get Verified," linked to http://cartile.no-ip.info. It worked when I tried it, then I reported it to ISP, and page was taken offline within hours. How long before they become their own ISP ?

    there is more scams on ebay/paypal and they dont really seem to do anything about them

    :D Go anonymous then ping them, telnet and r00t them and then leave a note telling them they were hacked using their own phishing script
