Lamborghini of Dallas completed half of the PPI. The clutch was becoming hard and the timing belts are 2 years old. The front and back brakes are 50% worn down.

This car priced at 62k, having the life of the clutch and the timing belts about half their life, if i replace them that will cost ($2500 for clutch) and ($7000) for the timing belt service.

Since we have the service record for the timing belt which completed in april of 2004, i have 1 year and 9 months before i have to replace that.

We don't have the service records for the clutch, the clutch is becoming hard and wearing down due to age.

Tony from Lamborghini of dallas provided outstanding customer service. He took care of me making sure i was making the right decision, even went beyond his duty and would look at the service records for me to explain everything, great guy!!!

NOW here's the UGLY part. I called Len Critcher from ecarlink, and asked him to fax Tony over the service records, so Tony and I could go over them together. Len seemed reluctant to do so when he asked why should he do that.

Len has failed to complete minor tasks such as calling me back when he said he would do so, unbelieveable, i always have to call him.

I called the lending company and told them i am unsure about buying the car now and the PPI is not looking good, other things were wrong, part of the AC was broken, and only half the PPI was done so who knows what else is in bad or half decent condition just like the clutch and timing belts.

The lending company called Len and told him i might not be interested.

Len called me and said , " You're not interested in buying the car?"
I said, " My decision is still pending but right now the PPI isn't looking great."
I said, " Why are you rushing me i dont even have the service records yet."
He got very impatient, raised his voice, and no i am not exaggerating in any way, with a negative attitude, said " You know what this is taking way too long, you can no longer purchase this car, good bye" and hung up the phone just like that............wow what a *******

    Im really upset and sad.

DON'T EVEN. Everyone on Fchat told you to walk away. You never intended to buy anything positive PPI or not.

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

Had an experience with a PPI on a Porsche GT3 some time ago listed by Ecarlink. Car turned out to be driven within an inch of its life. Len didnt like the fact that I back out of the deal but couldnt do much about it as the PPI showed lots of issues. I think they look for bargains to make a profit on and often the PPI exposes those cars which they picked up with issues to sell. Just my opinion

Take it easy, this one got away, there are plenty more out there. Relax a bit. Buying a car long distance over the phone is hard to do. There is probably a local buyer for the car who won't be as demanding (who might buy it without a PPI), maybe that's what he's counting on.

Don't be mad at this guy. He wants to make a sale. He was the right to end negotiations if he doesn't like the circumstances of the sale, just like you do.

Cool off for a day or two, think about what you've learned, re-read the many threads you've posted on the subject, think about what advice people have given you, and begin your search again. Your whole buying experience has "frantic" written all over it, not the way to buy an F-car.

    You'll find the one!

Sorry man, but we did make a strong suggestion in the other thread. This could be a blessing in disguise.

Though, Be careful to post threads that are so derogatory when you're upset.

Im sorry guys about the new thread, but honestly i have never been so mistreated, unprofessional and rude, you don't treat customers that way, a car like this needs to be dealt with time and care.

I agree with many posts in this and the other threads that you need to cool your jets a little. I have bought many cars over the last 10 years and like you, I have been impatient. Lucky for me it never really hurt me but as I look back, there was always a reason for one thing or another not working out and in the long run most of the time it worked in my favor.

Patience is a virtue that takes patience to learn.

    God speed.

We have wasted several weeks with this 22 year old kid - car has had all services (documented) and fully passed pre-buy with flying colors. Ferrari dealer even just did $3,800 worth of servicing 1 month ago. Tired of playing games. We are selling the car to another REAL BUYER! Kid cannot afford to service a Ferrari - STAY OUT OF THE GAME!

Why should people beware of Ecarlink? you put a car in for a ppi, yes there are a few negatives but thats what ppi's find out, the idea being that you then make an informed descision to either say thanks but I'm not interested or use the things found to reduce the price / have them rectified.

The dealer didnt hide anything, didnt lie to you so where's the problem.....he was a little brisk with you? big deal, he'd probably made the descision that you weren't going to buy the car and didnt want to waste any more of his time

I'd ask one of the mods of this section to either remove or rename this thread before the dealer takes your house and anything else you may have of value off you for defamation

I do want the slanderous reference that uses my name and dealership removed. Anybody have a suggestion of how to get this done easily through FerrariChat without suing this kid? Thanks in advance.
