You should know that when buying products from Ferrari that YOU bear the risks of return shipping costs for your purchases. I bought a pair of $125 gloves that didn't fit. Ferrari requires the buyer to pay return shipping costs so the price to send a small box back to Italy was $153. Make sure the products are truly what you want and you are sure of sizes otherwise you're stuck with products you may not want.
    Thanks for the support Ferrari.

Why would shipping be $145 to Italy? Just asking. I can send a small package to Poland for $20...

I went to a UPS Store and asked the least expensive way to ship the box. Only gloves in it so weight is not an issue. They said 153.
Anyone want some Ferrari gloves for 125? PLUS SHIPPING of course :)

Why would you use UPS to ship overseas? USPS/EMS is substantially cheaper.

The "UPS Store" is not UPS. They are a independently owned shop that marks up all UPS services for a big profit for the neighborhood convenience.

You have to find a real UPS Hub located in each city to get normal UPS rates. There might only be one in a city.

Fedex is different. They bought out all Kinkos and turned them into Fedex office which is an actual Fedex location owned by Fedex.

US postal service is what I use to ship worldwide. Best bang for the buck.

I am a Fedex account holder. Not a fan of UPS because of the above.

Sizing is a problem when ordering from the Ferrari Store, which is why I never buy any expensive wearables from them. However, I have been very successful with their shirts. I order a large but wear a size 38 jacket here. In other words, slim fit medium when buying elsewhere.

Can you describe the gloves and the way they fit? I'm interested.

Please post a picture of the glove next to a dollar bill on a flat surface.

This will give people a fairly good estimate of the gloves' size.

I sent back shirts that didn't fit on 1/12 and they have been held up in Italy customs since 1/18.

I doubt I will ever get my refund.

When I lived over in Korea, the cheapest way to ship anything from the states was USPS. Different shipping companies have different operation sizes depending on the country, the smaller the operation size and volume, the more it's going to be to ship.

FedEx actually handles a lot of the international shipping for the USPS now.

As mentioned, the UPS store jacks up the price on top of the published rate, so it's about the worst place you can go for shipping anything.

I ship guitars all over the world using FedEx. Create a FedEx account (it's free) and then Google "FedEx Great Rates" and you will find the Great Rates program. You call with the box weight, dimensions and the postal code it's going to, and they will quote you anywhere from 55-80 percent off the published rates. For some countries, they will tell you what day to ship on to get the best rate, other countries it doesn't matter.

Guitars cost a lot of money to ship because the boxes are large, so they go dimensional weight. The regular FedEx website might quote me $475 USD to ship Priority International to France, but the Great Rate quote will be $120 USD.

The USPS also has some dimensional restrictions that FedEx does not have, which can matter if it's a big box regardless of the weight. The USPS will take an electric guitar box but a full-sized acoustic box is too big, etc.

    Just gonna say?

If you had shipped it at MY shop, using FedEx International Priority, it would have cost you $38.06, and arrived in Italy in 2 to 3 business days. :)

UPS? My shop makes most of its money with UPS shipping. I refuse to ship ANYTHING internationally with UPS. That might tell you something.

What US store pays for your return shipping cost?

And to echo the others, I ship small lightweight items to Europe and USPS is the only way to go.

What's interesting is that here in Europe many stores dealing in clothing actually ship with a return label which provide you with a once-free exchange.

I have never paid for return shipping when purchased through Amazon. At least not yet. Also bought a Top Speed exhaust that the tip came damaged, they paid all the shipping, to me, for the return and for the new to be shipped back to me.

On Amazon it depends whether or not you get free returns. From their website, because I know my wife has had to pay for returns -

"Only product(s) that say that they are eligible for Free Returns on the product detail page are eligible for Free Returns. Free Returns only applies to product(s) fulfilled by Amazon. It does not apply to the same product(s) fulfilled by other sellers."

As for your example of Top Speed, of course if the merchant, or merchant's agent, is at fault they should pay for the return.

I have. If its a 3rd party seller almost always you have to pay for the return shipping.
