Beware this 355 in VA...

Totaled? If thats all the damage done then its nothing major and the car is still good.

 

Not $75k worth of good...

 

damage seems minimal from those pics. wonder if the suspension points at the front left corner were affected...

 

It is the front/side (ie, 22 degree) angle that tweaks these cars big time. The body guy who does most of the work for the local F Dealer said that angle impact bends the frame ralis or whatever gives the car the structural support. Anyway at $4K per fender, bumper, head light, etc, the parts bill adds up fast. Then he said there was cutting and welding involved.

In short, it is a really bad angle and there are many totaled 355s with that front side impact.

 

Wow, I remember seeing it at Classics on the James last year and I asked John Dowling about it a couple days ago and told me it was on consignment and totaled on a test drive, it was a excellent looking car, its too bad. Here is a picture before the wreck.

So the car has been repaired and no mention in the ad about prior damage?

 

Gee 75k for a salvaged 355, and no mention of it in the ad. No wonder that car salesman get such a bad rap.

Did the damage show up on a carfax? The prior owner is an fchatter I believe, yes? Wonder if he'll chime in.

They should put it in the ad, but if anything they will tell the potential buyer of the car. Thats how car salesmen operate- they do not want to scare potential customers away.

I have seen the car in person, but not looked at it closely. From 3 feet, it looks perfect!

Whats the actual exterior color of that, it is probably the best looking I have ever seen, I just don't like the matching interior.
