Has anyone tried BF Goodrich G Force Sport tires on their 308 or 328? They seem to offer everything I am looking for at a reasonable price. I like the tread pattern too.

I have not tried them on my 308 but I do have them on my Audi S4. They are great tires! Very good dry and wet traction, with little road noise. I would recommend them for sure.

I bought a set for my 944, and have been very pleased with them -- a good tire for the price. :)

I put a set on my 87 328, widest fitment I could find for the stock rear wheels. I heard/read great things about them, but as of yet, my car only has them mounted, on freshly detailed wheels, still awaiting the clutch reinstall. They sure LOOK good. Sigh.

I bought mine for my 944 a few years ago at Tire Rack (I was visiting there for the One Lap). My choice was down to the BFG or the Michelin Pilot Exalto in 225/50/15. If you put the two tires (both 225/50/15) side by side or end to end, the BFG was nearly an inch wider. The Michelin looked more like a 205 width than a 225. For people who want something a little wider, checking the specs on Tire Rack, the BFG G-Force typically has one of the widest section and tread widths for a given size (for people who don't know, no, tires do not all have the same measurements even if stated in the same size). :)

I used them on my M-B SL500. Very sticky and QUIET. I like that.

I got a set of these last year by mistake; I always regarded them as a mid-performance tire.

In the end, I'm quite surprised at how well they stick when running them aggressively in the canyons. They are quiet, and given the 20+ year old suspension on the car, I have to assume I don't need any stickier as these still probably perform better than the NCT's the car came with.

I just bought a set of Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs (for my Civic) last week. While it won't get autocrossed 'til July, I must say--as a road tire, they're really nice. According to some various web forums (the SCCA one was the one a paid most attention to), they perform up there w/ the Falken Azenis.

However, I did a 300 mile round trip roadtrip last weekend and they were surprisingly quiet on the freeway for an ultra high-performance summer tire. I guess the only hitch is if they make a size for the 308/328. The only 15" is a 195-55-15 (which is much larger than it's spec'ed as).

I had them on the 308 I just sold last year [actually Tony K's wheels too] and have no complaints. I also had them on my 944 N/A and 951 [944 Turbo] and loved them. Very little road noise and sticky ;)

They look to me like they belong on an off-road 4x4, sorry. I prefer my GoodYear Eagle F1 for speedy looks and stickness wet/dry.

I have them on my 328 GTS. I am very pleased with them. I had P-Zeros on all four corners, but the rears were shot (fronts were almost brand new.) At $89 per tire, I got the BFGs fitted.

The BFGs make the steering a little more darty than the P-Zeros, which actually translates to a little easier to turn at city speeds. I've driven the car very hard and can say that the capabilities of the BFG Sport far exceeds what the stock chassis and suspension were designed to handle. Breakaway is progressive, unlike a new set of Pilots or P-Zeros, which in warm, dry weather can give you that De Tomaso Pantera "sorry, nothing you can do to save it" type of loss of adhesion.

I've heard this comment before...the photo angle doesn't help in this case but they look fine in person ;)

Yes, the combination of only the outer tread blocks being visible, at that angle, plus the angle of the hard sunlight doesn't do the tires justice; in reality they look as racy as any other directionals out there. :)
