Has anyone put BFG kdw's on their ferrari ? I'm thinking of going with the 225/50 & the 245/45's . There $132 & $137 each ......input needed for tire selection.

    Thanks

If you do a 'search' you'll find a multitude of threads on this topic, all offering opinions on tires....here's mine:

I put the KDs on my 328 and they are, in a word, spectacular! I thoroughly checked the specs on Tire Rack and, I believe, they had the highest dry grip rating of anything comparable....and it certainly feels like it. They do show that they have a higher road noise level but I'll be damned if I hear it...they don't wear as well as some of the other brands but that matters not to me. If you're not consistently going to drive the car in the rain, I wouldn't worry 'bout the 'W' series. I've been in the wet a couple of times and didn't find the KDs too hateful.

I just checked Tire Rack's Rating again, jus' to be sure I wasn't spoutin' off here.... The KDs have the highest Handling Rating and Dry Traction Rating over the S03, S02, F1, and the AVS Sport. They're rated to be horrible in the Wet and about mid-field on the Wear Rating.
They rate better in Handling & Dry Traction than anything they list (std/original size:Max Performance and Ultra Performance) for the 328 and, personally, that is what I want in a tire; dry traction and handling.

    Very timely thread.

I assume you are refering to the KDW and not the KDWS or KD. The KD is their top of the line. The KDW (comes in 2 tread patterns) is a few years old but a good tire. They came stock on my SVT Contour...good grip but noisey. The KDWS is an all season tire...less grip but better for rain. Take a look at tirerack.com

I just ordered KDW 215/50-16 for the front (my car is lowered so rubbing is a concern). I am hoping to put the KDW 245/45-16 on the rear. Keep in mind that the KDW has been back ordered in 245/45-16 for months. I just talked to BFG this morning and they do not have a planned production date for this size, though they say it is not discontinued.

PM me or email me if you want more info.

JPJ was asking 'bout the KDW, but it is the KD that I have on my car to which the specs I noted above refer.
