its only for private use. i store all Ferrari pics in a huge database by s/n. more than 75000 pics to date. i have tried to explain this again and again. it does not make sense to store a pic without a system. no professional or commercial interest.
Thanks for the kind comments guys. There is absolutely nothing for me to hide - the car has been recorded as a Catagory C total loss (on a similar registry to your carfax in the US). The VIN is: ZFFYT53C000124925 The orginal number plate (and the plate it now bears) is Y246 ABL. I would hate for someone to buy this car down the line and not know the full story behind it. If someone googles this post in the future and wants to know about the car please do get in touch with me - PM me through this site or through my blog: Aldous Voice Ferrari Blog Image Unavailable, Please Login
Gotcha. A hobby of sorts I guess. Sorry if I was a bit abrupt. I've seen some terrible salacious nonsense written about cars with a "story" or a "wreck" in their past. I was aware that there would be no conceivable way this car was insurance-claimed with the damage evident without being recorded as such and thus future buyers, doing their research, ought to be perfectly well protected.
I just read through this thread and have gleaned a lot of good information on the way and then on page 22 the horrible news. I guess the only good news is that no one was hurt. I am curious as to why your insurance company had to pay out -- wasn't the other party at fault or does your company pay out and then go after the other parties insurance? I say go for it and repair the car. Can you legally sell a total loss vehicle in the UK? Thanks Alan
It is with a small tinge of sadness that I write this post as today the Bianco Fuji Spider rolled out of my garage for the last time. Since I am now the owner of an F430 it didnt really make sense to hold onto the 360. The good news is that I have sold it to someone who has committed to putting it back on the road. The purchaser has told me that they intend to document the restoration on the usual Ferrari forums so keep an eye out for what will be an epic project. There are some pictures from today (including one of the car being worked on by the new owner) on my blog here. If you haven't already seen it then please check out and subscribe to my new project thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/428085-project-f430.html
