Big Bazooka - 0320AM restored

From the 1950's I will take a type 136, 140 or 141 4 cam with 4-choke Solex carbs.
I have to say I sort of like the Carrera Pan America(post Reims) nose better than the Lemans nose.

It occurs to me that you never hear the phrase "ripping canvas" anymore.

 

Callico in the Brit press, canvas over here. Just a flash back to the sixties I guess.

 

The car is currently on display at Retromobile (Paris) until Feb 10th, on RM stand. Will be at the next Villa d'Este RM auction.
As the car was returned to Le Mans 53 configuration, the engine should be the 4.1L (4.5l was installed after the Le Mans if I'm not wrong). Is that correct?

I remember this car very well from when we had it during late 1990s.

 

just shy of 13 million. Does anybody know which GB collection it went into? aparently it will sit next to a 250 GTO so that narrows it down to 7 people?

Can anyone explain which chassis numbers, race (Le mans?) and the drivers in this shot?

I see 0320AM, unsure of the others.

XXI Le Mans 24 hours, held on 13 June 1953:
12 = 0320 AM with Ascari-Villoresi.
15 = 0322 AM with Marzotto-Marzotto.
14 = 0318 AM with Farina-Hawthorn.
