She looks great!!! I actually DO know how tough she is, besides, she puts up with you! Love you both..... I was rather afraid of that, in Marfa, but it's all about the journey. Judge Beebe had posted to his FB that "next year..." was the answer. But, the roads (as you post) really are the journey! I hate that the Park at Balmorhea is all jacked up and closed too. I made it from Houston "out" to Fort Davis in one run, hitting the Liquor Store in Fort Stockton, before 9PM close. Not much moving in Fort Davis by the arrival. Late Check in was: "The door is open the door key is on the desk" but once I was in I ran across the Owner/Manager... Bats and stars were the hallmark of that last run at night... As another posted most impressive is the lack of ANY FM radio stations, and maybe one on AM, (Other than Marfa Radio) One last tribute to Boyd Elder: They would call him up, and mike him to the airwaves for the Radio Marfa weather. He would sit in his truck, and read the conditions out, off of the roof console info!!! Coming back , new bike on the truck, hit heavy weather, and luckily found an old friend to crash in San Antonio. There's a LOT of West Texas......we keep it out in West Texas!!!!
Thanks for the photos. i have been three times to the big bend area including all the places you went-one of my favorite areas of the country. Malcolm
