Has anyone here bought/installed a big brake kit for a 348/355? I have used the Hawk pads on my cobra and corvette. They worked well for short track duty. Any suggestions for street/track use? Scott

I had Tillack & Co. install a 'Stop Tech' big brake kit with cross drilled rotors on all four corners and love them. I believe they are manufactured right here in So. Cal. I've heard there are fitment issues on Brembos with 348/355 applications.

Oh yeah, the bush man has a dope set of stoptechs on his 348 that could stop a train!! They really fill up those wheels of his!!

BTW What the diameters of your rotors?? Are they the same front to rear??

Yeah, they are mega big rotors and stop rrreeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllll good!

Stop-Tech big brake kit for 348/355 (Same kit)
What's nice is they allow for the e-brake application.

    14" Front 355mm x 32mm / cross drilled rotor, 4 / piston caliper
    13" Rear 332mm x 32mm / cross drilled rotor 4 / piston caliper

Obviously, Tillack & Co. can get them and I think Ricambi carries them.

I cant imagine having better stopping power than stock - it must be like shoving rebar between the spokes of a bicycle wheel at that point!

I have 355 front and back, it is an AP racing set made for jaguar to race at
la mans in the 80s,Had to adapt the rear to have a hand brake but other than that it bolted stright on,you have to have 18in wheels though.

I cant tell you anything other than i was in the right place at the right time, these were stuck in a corner when i was talking to a guy in a garage, he said you can have those for 2 grand so i bought them, i only found out they were made for jaguar when i tried to get new pads and no one knew what they were,A guy working for BG developments recognized the shape of the pad, he used to work on the racing jags,i have to have the pads made each time now as no one makes them.

Its well worth the trouble though.

I have Stoptechs on my M3...355mm slotted rotors on all four.
They are great, no problems ever track or street.
Run Cobalt Friction pads on the track, Axis Ultimates street.
