    Today the first down!
I put on the ignition and when I press the start button nothing happens... (I put on the charger Ferrari every time).
I call for assistance to bring the Ferrari car at the dealership, and go back to the car to try again, and just a click, I cut the ignition again and it starts- miracle! But after a few seconds I find myself overwhelmed by a cloud of smoke as if the car was on fire! .. BIG PANIC I cut the engine and still I restart the engine and nothing wrong! .. (I was too much in panic to think about doing a photo)
So I went directly to the dealer, then he connected on the computer diagnostic, tells me that there is a consumption 250ma all off, he thinks it's a default on the battery and replace it. About the smoke he said that there was a default of solenoid inlet and a cylinder bank had no ignition at start by default because certainly the battery of electronic boxes were not had enough electrical power!
This happening after not using the car for 12 days.
Hi hoppe it's only the battery, let's see after again a long break.

Wow that's pretty scary. Hopefully it's the battery. Let us know what it was.

My dealer told me that you should not start the car, shut it off, and then immediately restart.

He said that the direct injection can flood the car like you would if you had carbs. So, he said if you start the car, let it run a bit before shutting it off, and then wait a bit before restarting.

I wonder if this also cause your smoking problem as it was a problem in getting the car to start in the first place.

Not really, about the smoke no problem anymore, but when I don't use the car few days, she don't start and I have to wait 5 minutes, and she start like normal!!!

What I'm sure now it was not a batterie default.

This car make me crazy! Now I have to live the car on the dealer for few days, like this he can test himself to find this problem...

The 458 is the first Ferrari I have owned (6 in all) that doesn,t have a battery disconnect switch which I think is a serious fault. How does one store it without access to a power outlet?

Can't you add a "kill switch" to it, or is this not recommended?
