Hi everyone from ferrari chat i bought my second ferrari, its a 308 gtb 1977 and it was made in march of 1977. I have a question about my car, i check on the 308 gtb register about it and all i could find is that she is a rosso metalizato (color) from USA but i could not find anything else about the car. I would like a litle help from you guys to know about of the history of the car, if she is a vetroresina, dry sump or wet, etc. HER NUMBER IS 21009. One last question anyone know about this color rosso metalizato.

Thx very much, any help will be useful

Ps: the car didnt arrive here in Brazil when she comes i will send some pictures... she is beautyful only 6500 miles, all original.

    Welcome...

That VIN appears legit for a 1977 car, it falls within the range of the ones (steel) I own.

All the North America 'glass cars are wet sump engines. Maybe someone else recognizes your car, for history ....

    Bruno,

Do you have the original owner's manual and service books? Check for the stamps from the selling dealer and/or the services. I don't know about the 1977 but in 1985 the dealer is listed and the original owner. The majority of the dealers from that time have changed.

I would not expect Ferrari North America to lend much, if any, help in tracking this type of informaiton down.

Do you have any initial information on prior owners and locations to start with?

    Jeff

    Bruno....

If the books come with this car I would be curious if it was sold originally from Seattle, WA. 21009 rings a bell in my head, and there cannot be too many Rosso Metalizato GTB's made.

    Da Flav
