It is a car this clean and crisp that makes me want to take off my fender shields.

They were put on by a previous owner and I'm thinking about a shield removal session. On the first hot day around here, I think I'll park my 308 in the sun and get them warm, try to detach those babies without hurting the paint.

Beautiful car, go for a long drive! And if you're not crazy about the Gottis there are lots of folks who like them, would be pretty easy to sell and pick up a set of Superformance wheels.

Dental floss and maybe a little spray detailer, is what I've used in the past. I was looking at my shields this weekend and realized they could come off pretty easily. I just might try the no shield look, see if I like it.

This car came from the previous owner with shield decals and your right, the lines are so clean that they just distract from the beauty...Removing them was actually the first thing I did ...(while waiting for the parts to arrive to do the major service)....I used a heat gun on low setting (very careful not to heat it too much) and off they came...then a little paint prep cleaner to remove the adhesive and wax to protect.

That settles it, I'm going to give it a go and remove the shields.
