    Did anyone get to the North Shore to see the big waves? Face heights reached into the 40 foot range. There was some good coverage on the local news and it looked like the traffic and parking problems were as massive as the surf.

    In person, the big waves are an awesome and unforgettable experience.

    I've been watching updates and pictures on the web.

    Big waves are a young mans game IMO but just hearing about 'em gets the blood boiling.

    Yea, I went up to Jaws (on Maui) to watch the guys having fun yesterday.
    The traffic was annoying.
    I'm glad SOMEONE is having fun, because I came here to windsurf and there's no stinkin wind, just monster surf!

    Good for you!! There was some footage on the news showing the action at Jaws. It looked like the waves were cleaner than those at Waimea.

    As an aside: I never knew he was here but the gentleman (Sprinzel?) that was responsible for the Speedwell Sprites lives in Hawaii and is big into windsurfing. I think that I saw this information in a recent issue of Hemmings Sports and Exotics magazine.

    I went up on Monday and then went back Tuesday for the Eddie. It was absolutely incredible. You can see some footage on www.wtfhawaii.com
