    I want to thank members of Fchat for posting solutions to problems. I by no means am a mechanic or mechanically inclined. Like some of you, I have been able to afford a F355, but certainly don't have tons of extra cash lying around to pay for expensive repair bills without sacrificing financial budgets. I recently took out my 1995 F355 2.7 from winter storage and it ran horrible, rough idle, missing, no power, overall like crap. No check engine lights or any others came on. At first I thought it was bad fuel, drove to work and back, refueled with 94 octane and came home depressed. I spent quite a few hours on Fchat reading through threads, symptoms, suggested causes and in doing so came up with what i thought the issue could be, spark. I purchased the PMRB7 NGK plugs as suggested on some posts. I removed the the old plugs and wire 4 was seized on, after eventually getting the wire off, i tore the boot. The spark plug it self had water corrosion along the upper half, the gasket was in poor shape on the cover and i can only assume water creeped in. All the other plugs looked good, a bit rich possibly, but i compared them to various posted plug images to come to my conclusion. I replaced the plugs, gapped them as someone here suggested at .32 and ordered a new wire set from Ricambi and gaskets. I replaced wire 4, put it all back together and the car runs FANTASTIC! I decided to not replace the other 7 wires for the time being

    Thanks again for all the informative posts and helping me save tons on repair costs from going to a dealer. I highly recommend anyone having issues and not an endless wallet, dig into Fchat and you will get some great info to direct you into the right direction and trust me when i say i am not mechanically inclined, but very proficient in google.

    Definitely a helpful group of guys in the section! Happy to hear you were able to complete the repair yourself as well, there is something very satisfying about overcoming a mechanical issue on one of your vehicles.

    I agree. I don't think I would have bought my first F-car without F-chat. No one I knew owned a Ferrari and it was a distant, strange world. Knowing of folks (via here) that owned one made it sound like a possibility and gave me the confidence to buy mine in cash. Crazy as that sounds today, lol.

    I bought my car from auction. After searching about the car I came up with nothing and decided not to buy because of the unknown. Then, I found the owner thru fchat and with the valuable info he gave me I decided to buy. The car was in absolute perfect shape and practically flawless. Without the info from the po I would never have bought it. Without fchat I would never have found the po.
    So, thanks again fchat.

    Can you imagine life without the resource of Fchat? You would need an unlimited budget, unlimited patience, and a Ferrari dealer next door ( or your own flat bed). Of course if you had all that you would have a Daytona Spider instead.

Not only have I been able to repair my own car with guidance provided by members of the forum, but I have also had the opportunity to meet many of you in person and share our common passion for these cars.
