hey joek... firstly... you're being watched. secondly... what's normal anyway? I hope I'll remain abnormal.
I posted this in NON-FERRARI thread but incase u miss it. Here are some custom bikes I saw today, maybe not in the league of the sports bikes talked about in this thread, but I guess the bike fans will like the pics. Ohh I love the Predator http://www.coresworld.net/Motorex06/
i'm not sure what they did to the $$$ numbers, but... ###################### The Bugatti Veyron has floored the opposition in Autocar's annual 0-100-0mph contest, featured in the current issue of the world's oldest car magazine - even beating a Suzuki GSX-R1000 superbike. With 25 of the worlds fastest cars from the 14th placed $79,995 Aston Martin V8 Vantage to the second-placed $34,995 Ariel Atom, the idea is that the cars are pitched directed against each other to see which one gets to from 0-100mph...and back again. Suprisingly, the Bugatti Veyron wasnt the outright favourite to win, as Adam Towler, Autocar's road test editor explains : "A low weight tends to be the key to a good 0-100-0mph car. Cars like the Ariel Atom and Caterham Superlight historically dominate this contest." However, the Bugatti supercar, coming in at $88,000 got to 60mph in 2.8 seconds and 100mph in 5.5. It then stopped in 3.4 seconds, making it's overall 0-100-0mph time 9.9 seconds. If you fancy trying it out for yourself, then hold on tight: the g-force at maximum acceleration is more than you would experience in an F-16 jet fighter at take off, or when skydiving. "Although the Veyron is undoubtedly the quickest road car ever, you can still have nearly as much fun for much less money," said Adam Towler. "It's good to see British sports cars doing so well against such an impressive machine as the Bugatti." #######################
What is the Veryon's quoted 0-200kmh time? Here are some times achieved in independant tests. remeber the GSXR will launch MUCH slower than the Veyron as it has only one wheel and cannot use full throttle in first gear,as it would flip! No doubt the GSXR will stop slower than a car too. GSXR1000 0-100kmh 2.8-3.0secs 0-140kmh 4.5secs 0-150kmh 4.7secs 0-200kmh 7.1-7.5secs
hmmmmm...so the bike is actually faster 100-200. surprising. so the brick wall is actually after 200.
Pretty much as I expected. From 50kmh+ the bike will win comfortably, until around 220kmh when aero becomes critical. Starting, stopping and turning are the bikes achilles heel.
Basically yes!! The 550, is noticeably faster than a GSXR on semi comp rubber through winding roads, but isn't even in the ballpark as soon as there is the hint of a straight road. Been out with the boys a few times with the 550 running with the bikes.
haha at all the above commentary ahh bikes, i have raced motorcross on and off since I was 12 currently have a '05 CRF250 honda for sale. the current 4 stroke motocross bikes are absolute weapons. the amount of torque avail in any gear any time is crazy! have thought long and hard about buying a nice Aprilia RS250 but cant justify the risks involved with road bikes... :-(
really, obviously it was a waste of money, what if any qualifications did u end up with....................B of USA, B of septic
