Haha i heard that one too. I don't think Kimi will be coming back and if he did I don't see him as a mach for Red Bull. Imagine him and Vettel on the same team. Two number 1s doesn't work well.

Horner just commented, yesterday I beleive, that Kimi was not interested in a return to F1. A smokescreen? The Truth? Maybe Rupert Murdoch knows...

Kimi coming back to F1 makes about as much sense as Tiger Wood coming back to golf. I guess silly season just officially started.

Time off is a tough thing in this sport, which demands a lot of you, not to mention the often dramatic changes from year to year.

I don't think ol' Kimi would fare well compared to Vettel at this point. If Kimi had the DESIRE, he could step up to the plate, but I think it's gone. Just the opposite of Vettel.

He's 10th in the drivers standings.

That's still in the top half against the best drivers in the world (arguably)

    give up already

I was a Kimi fan because I thought F1 could use some personality and I liked his fire and raw talent. That said, given the current focus, talent and dedication of the top drivers I don't think Kimi would be competetive nor would he particularly like the current F1 culture and environment. Webber is a stone pro and hasn't had the pleasure of driving in clean air the majority of the race yet still manages to fight for position and be competitive.

    Cheers

Red Bull has no issue with their drivers being fast...it's with their drivers following, and being happy with team orders...look at last week. If Weber goes, it will be in favor of a young driver that will be happy to be on board with a winning team and playing the role of #2 driver. This is something I don't see Kimi doing at this point in his life.
if Red Bull put their resources into Weber, he would have won the WDC last year and had just as much of a chance to win this year. So fast drivers is not what they are looking to get. I would think moving the younger Jaime Alguersuari (at a lower cost) into the spot like they did with Seb is the obvious route...
Kimi will go to Nascar before F1. He won a WDC, knows how "the system" works, and doesn't seem interested in reliving it.
