    I wanted to keep the original wheel look so I bought the new replacement wheels from http://www.superformance.co.uk/wheels.htm. The replacement wheels are 16" by 7" and cost about $1100 with shipping to New York.

    The original TRX tire size is 240/55 - 390

    240 = width
    55 = aspect ratio
    390mm = wheel diameter (15.35")

    Width X aspect ratio = section height, so 240X.55=132

    Overall diameter = wheel diameter + (section height X 2)

    So, the original tire/wheel overall diameter = 132X2+390 = 654mm = 25.75"

    Therefore 16" tires that will closley approximate the overall tire/wheel diameter are:

    245/50 - 16 which gives a tire height of 25.65"

    225/55 - 16 which gives a tire height of 25.74"

    205/60 - 16 which gives a tire height of 25.69"

    I decided to go with 225/55. I ordered from TireRack the Avon Tech M500s. The reviews and price were good and so far I haven't been disappointed.

    Hope this helps.

    The lot is a bit smaller than last year, a whole row of parking was lost due to the on going construction of the towns park. I finally got my friend to come down this past Sunday in his 430 Spyder and he had to park it in the dirt, I should have swapped spots with him I drive a Subaru Sti. LOL.

    Made it to Oak Beach yesterday with the 308. I was the only F car there. About 50 cars mostly Corvettes were present. A State Trooper sat at the entrance giving every car the once over. He finally pulled over a fairly new Mustang and gave it a ticket. It sure was not for speeding. I was wondering since most of the cars present did not having front plates, were they going to be his quarry? He left after a while and I took off.

    2 weeks ago when I was there there was only one other f-car. It was very crowded with people parking on the grass, road, everywhere. Cops were there but didn't hassel anyone. Guess they got new marching orders.

    How was the weather? I was out of town last weekend but thought it rained here, possibly why the low turnout. Won't be able to make it this weekend as I will be in the f-car out in the Hamptons with the wife for the weekend :)
