    To FChatters in the Carolinas......On May 29th, Saturday morning at 8:00 AM join us for a photo shoot of Ferraris in front of the Biltmore Manor followed by a 3 mile cruise through the estate to a fabulous Breakfast at the Biltmore Deer Park. From there we head off for a 2+ hour romp through the beautiful Broad River valley and up into the mountains to Hot Springs.

    This is just one of the many activities that we have planned for the Ferrari Cup Challenge weekend May 27-30. Based at the Grove Park Inn and Spa in Asheville the FCC is an event-filled weekend of fun. For those of you that cannot join us for the whole weekend there are options to choose from in an ala carte selection.

    Go To: www.FerrariCup.net ....The Schedule of Events details the activities. Just click on Registrations to make your choices. There are still a few rooms left at the Grove Park if you can make the time to stay on for more than one day of activities.

    Wanna drive the BMW Performance track? That's Friday. Can't make it on Friday? Come to the Biltmore Breakfast and Drive on Saturday. Got time on Sunday? How about another group drive through the mountains on Sunday to end up at the home of John and Margeret Edwards for a gourmet lunch, F1 Turkish GP and Indy 500 party? In between the activities we have fun dinners planned at the Grove Park on Friday and Saturday.

    It's not too late to join us for what is truly a great weekend of fun. ALL proceeds after expenses go to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation benefiting the families of our fallen heros. Fun for a cause. What could be better?

    John and Margeret Edwards live near Waynesville which is SW of Asheville. I believe they live near or off of NC 215.....a really nice and fun road. It was part of our FCC drive back in May 08. That was a great drive.

    Daniel...it would be great to have you come for the day on Saturday. After the Biltmore Breakfast the planned route is not only scenic but also blends sweepers, twisties and switchbacks. Should be a blast.

    I am down to the wire finishing my 330 GTC for this trip. Regardless I am shipping 2 cars up for this event. My SA and the GTC. If for some reason the GTC is not ready then the Dino will make the trek.

    I am thinking about a Saturday appearance as well. May stay for Sunday but not sure yet.

    I'm with Dr. Strangelove. Saturday would be the earliest we could make it, but I think we were planning to spend the weekend at the Asheville house anyway, so maybe Sunday as well. Sounds like a great weekend though, I'll try my darndest to get around sometime. Thanks for the invite.

    This is the John Edwards who worked for a living - not the politico from the eastern part of the state who not only embarassed himself but also the whole State of North Carolina. I am located approx 40 minutes west of the Grove Park Inn off Interstate 40, then south for about 9 miles on us 215 or west on the Blue Ridge to 215, then north for about 9 miles. Exact directions will be given out Sunday morning

    Please come Sunday for a great view(see below), the best dry aged prime beef in the US - direct form Lobels Butcher Shop in NYC, fine wines, full bar, and both the F1 and Indy Race(I have a friend racing this year) and a great art exhibit from, I believe, the best artist in Ashville - Jonas Gerard (www.jonasgerard.com) - will be great fun! All proceeds from lunch go to the the Fallen Warriors Fund

    Sounds kindof like when I took my wife to see the Canadian Gran Prix on her birthday. She lasted about 15 minutes in the stands. Fortunately there was the Casino a short walk away where I could find her.

    Karl, did you try to suggest having your wife go the Grove Park Spa rather than the drive? It is an incredible way to spoil someone for a day. Just a thought..........

    For those of you staying on for Saturday nite the Grove Park Inn has just arranged a special cocktail party at the Fitzgerald. The Fitz is a new luxury condominium project located next door to the Grove Park Inn. There is no charge for this generous gift from the GPI to our group. So maybe a few of you day-trippers might want to stay on for a spell. This party is scheduled for 6-7:30 PM. Afterwards we have dinner at the GP on the Sammons Terrace.

    No, we are doing a Breakfast at the Biltmore and not dinner. Saturday nite is a cocktail party at the Fitzgerald [right next door to the Grove Park] and dinner at the Grove Park. So you will always be close to your accomodations......better for the bambino!

    For those of you coming to the Biltmore Photo Shoot and Breakfast and then the drive to Hot Springs here is the schedule:

    7:30 AM Depart from the Grove Park Inn to go to the Biltmore entrance [10-15 minutes]

    8:00 AM Enter the Biltmore Estate to go to the Biltmore House [10 minutes]

    8:15 AM Photo Shoot in front of the Biltmore House [15 minutes]

    8:30 AM Drive the grounds to the Deer Park [10 minutes]

    8:45 AM Breakfast at the Deer Park [1 hour]

    10:00 AM Depart on the Mountain Mille to Hot Springs [2 hours 20 minutes]

    12:30 PM Arrive Hot Springs......there is a festival going on in Hot Springs. We have parking pre-arranged for our cars

    Hot Springs is at your leisure. Browse the Festival or head for wherever at your desire.

    We will have detailed Driving Directions from the Biltmore to Hot Springs and back to the Grove Park. These will be passed out at the Grove Park and for the day-trippers at the Deer Park.
