I have been progressively "bitten by the [racing] bug" and decided to go vintage racing. Reluctantly, "we" have decided my carb'd 308 is going to be sold. Listing goes up on eBay to test the waters later today. Continental Autosports (Ferrari dealer in Hinsdale IL) has also offered to sell the car (they know it well).

Some of you may know the amount of work that's gone into the car, but if not a simple search on FChat will produce a listing embracing engine upgrades (P6 cams, 44mm carbs), brake upgrades (355), chassis upgrades (ARBs/springs/corner weighting), tire choices, dry sumping and so on. Burt ("BS") Levy claims it is the best 308 he has ever driven and wrote a piece in Classic Motorsports (November 2004). It is a microcosm of the old adage that the way you make a small fortune in motor racing is to start with a large one!

Plan to sell the car "naked" and will have a lot of extra bits (seats, cams, wheels etc) for sale once the car is gone.

    Email me offline if interested.

P.S., hopefully the "commercial" nature of the post doesn't offend. If it does, mods, please delete.
