There is no need for Belgian jokes.......Diomante claims it himself, they had made "ten bodies and approximately five cars" Bizzarrini said AMC offered "to leave the tooling, but wanted the cars they paid for 'retired' (destroyed)." There was a batch of the transaxles made also. Rumors have lingered for years about more of the cars.....none have surfaced that I'm aware of. Thanks to the enthusiasts these cars have been followed for years and are very well documented.
that was also expected about others brands or Bizzarini's limited series production... and when you see how it happened...
Still i would wager there is a 7th. Pictures taken at the racetrack show 2 variations on the rear valences so in my opinion Diamonte has no7
WE all known ? We didnt knew that you was a expert in AMX ? It look like that your life is full of jalousy, try to be happy by yourself, and try to be successfull with your own work
Yes I did too. A little imagination exercise: the lower front bumper Aventador or Reventon style on the AMX/3 and it would be a totally superb car.
Agreed, I would ad that the design has held up incredibly well over the years and like some have mentioned very modern looking. I have never looked at the chassis on any of these cars but i would bet money that the chassis is a modified P538. Similar to the Varedo (which Bizzarrini built) or Manta. There is an excellent article in the Hemmings blog about the AMX/3 by Bizzarrini. An AMX/3 comes up for sale for the first time in 15 years | Hemmings Daily Image Unavailable, Please Login
A photo of Giotto Bizzarrini turing a wrench on this very car and another of the team with Giotto Bizzarrini in the helmet. Do you think that means he drove this AMX/3? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
