Mechanics must hate that engine location. Looks like an engine out job to change the jets on the rear carbs!

IIRC there is a panel in the dash-top that comes out to reach the rear top of the engine.

    Best,

I have never heard of anyone changing the jets once the car is set. Most all the owners of these cross ram engines share the jetting numbers and once it's set you just leave it alone.

The Iso A3C is the competition model early in Life the A3C and A3L were also referred to as Iso Grifo A3C's or L's .

Then the Production Grifo's came out, these cars had the engine much further forward and they weighed much more due to a full monocoque design.

Later Bizzarrini left Iso and took the A3C/ L design to build the Bizzarrini 5300, these cars were very similar to the Iso A3C's easiest way to tell the difference is the wrap down rear window the later Bizzarrini's had.

The white A3C in the other thread is built after the Sebring Comp car.

Here is a standard production Iso Grifo engine bay.

Thanks for the answer, I will be going to bed a little smarter tonight! :)

FWIW the Bizz rear window and tailight treatment are much more attractive.

This is #B0222 with a wrap down window and is an Iso Grifo A3/C, not a later Bizzarrini, isn't it???

It's the one for sale at Fiskens and on display at Retromobile last week. Is this the only exception to the rule? Please can you elaborate on there being 2 0222s?

See here: FISKENS Fine Historic Automobiles - Iso Bizzarrini A3/C - Car Detail

I notice they call it an Iso Bizzarrini A3/C which isn't correct is it? There's no mention of the word Grifo in their advert.

A3C would be correct as it's a competition car. Are there others, maybe I just don't know all the cars on sight, I am just trying to give some general guidelines to help identify the differences between Iso and Bizzarrini cars.

The A3C part is correct but Bizzarrini incorrect? Shouldn't it just be Iso Grifo A3/C?
