I have no affiliation to the sale or seller- I'm sort of surprised this car is still available- looks nice. Ferrari Mondial Spyder Pininfarina | eBay Does the Daytona interior (which I think I like) hurt this car that much? I'm not in the market, but I do watch the Mondials as they come and go through various websites, often multiple times. I do not remember seeing this one before. I'm interested in other member's thoughts if you have any. John
Personally, I like the Daytona interior. And considering the age of the originals interiors with wear, scuffing, etc - I don't think a replacement interior is a bad thing at all. I've had some thoughts of doing a 2-tone (Tan with black inserts) Daytona interior for my 85 Coupe. I think someone on FCHAT has a Cab with an interior like this (I'm relatively new here, so still learning all the posters and their cars). The price seems good. The list of negatives that are posted seem like very minor issues. And considering the other items that come with the car (tool kits and luggage) - I think it is priced very well. The only negative that I can think of is that the car received it's major service in 2007. Even with only 1700 miles since then, that's a long span of time - no matter where you fall on the timing belt issue. There are 89 people watching the car, and according to the question and answer section, there's already at least one person looking and scheduling an inspection. Sid
I may be misreading the ad, but I interpreted it as the major service was just recently completed. The ad states that the car has only travelled 1700 miles since 2007, but the service sounds to have been much more recent than that. It would probably be a good idea for the seller to confirm the date of the service. I'm actively looking for a 3.2 and while I'm not crazy with the way the interior was done, my lack of interest in this example is more a function of the Nero color. I'm just not a fan of black cars. I was very interested in Wade's Coupe, but couldn't make it past the Nero exterior. 2cam
Hi Sid - reading the advert he actually says lower down "I have just completed all maintenance necessary on the car including timing belts cam seals water pump distributors fuel injectors spark plugs spark plug extension tubes radiator expansion tank and changed the oil with mobile one". So I think the reference to 1700 miles is just how many have been covered since 2007. Seems to me like a complete bargain, certainly is over here when converted to UK money. Seems 2cam and I posted simultaneously!
I Misread it. As that was the only negative (in my opinion), it seems like a great bargain. Maybe the black interior is putting people off? Or, maybe people are playing games with the seller? As he has $27.5K or BEST OFFER, maybe people think that "Best Offer" means that the seller will let it go cheaper? And are waiting until the auction nears end? Personally, I hope the seller gets what he is asking. I think it's very much worth it. sid
ZFFXC26A9J0077440 Back in 2011 someone was asking $50k, blk/tan at the time. the owner has let me know that one of the offers is $25K and he is willing to take that if the person who made that offer likes what he finds in the inspection. I offered a little less than that and am way down the list.
I believe the 3.2 and earlier seats, are totally stunning in their stock configuration. Because I found the factory T seats to be less attractive (IMHO), I went Daytona on them. Cheers, Hank Image Unavailable, Please Login
