More than half of these are HDRIs. Some explanation; 'Lone Italian' isn't referring to the car, but rather the tree- an Italian Cypress. 'Sicilian Sentinel' was named because that stretch of road in the cemetery holds exclusively Italian grave sites. 'Replacing Anubis'- Anubis is the guardian of the dead. Figured he's been around for a while- time to give the R8 a shot. It's intimidating enough, I think. Usually I narrow a series down to 5-8 photos. I spent the better part of two days undecided about which of the 315 total images to exclude. So after narrowing it down to nineteen images, I decided to exclude nothing. There are one or two I'm unsure about, and might remove from the series. But overall I am quite happy with the results. Hope you dig 'em too. I like all of them. Black looks very good on it. Helps blend in those questionable (IMO) side scoops.
A cemetary is not a place I would think to do a car photoshoot but they do look good. And the R8 is one awesome vehicle.
I've been wanting to photograph a car at Lake Lawn for a while now and never got the chance. Plus, I always figured it was borderline sacrilege. But I thought long and hard about locations and figured the R8- especially in black- would work perfectly in a grave yard. It's just so evil looking.
I missed this topic until now, your pics are excellent! The R8 really looks nice in all black, with the side scoops not sticking out like a sore thumb.
I especially like 5 and 11 but most all the pictures have great composition. The first picture is majestic. A great way to start; very neat how you end up (pun intended) back where you started. Great work there! CH
