I've read about the "Black Book" whole sale price guide that dealers use to price their cars. I understand this guide has Ferrari's in the cars of interest section. Who on F-chat has access to this book and will share an example or two of the Black Book pricing vs Blue Book & NADA? How much actual difference is there?

Typically these days Manheim is a more accurate source as they post auction results. If you pick a certain car (MAKE-MODEL-YEAR) I can post Black book and Manheim for you.

Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lambo, etc... aren't in the black book. Manheim is the best source of wholesale auction pricing for these cars that I can find. I know for most cars there is a 20-30% spread between avg in black book and NADA or KBB retail prices. If you need a copy of a black book PM me your address and I'll mail you a recent copy. Again no exotics but for Porsche and all regular cars it is a good source of true wholesale pricing.

you are very wrong, i just grabbed the current black book out of my car and all models are in the book. in fact i was shocked when the lastest book became available at how current they are. it has a #2 dino gts at $160k. all mkaes and modles are listed with the exception of the ultra-rare models.

the black book is driven off of actula slaes that can be confirmed. it is generally more accurate than the a blue book, which often lags behind. when it comes to cars that aren't frequently sold, the black book is generally more up to date.

even if you take the scm price guide, the black book is more current due to it's every three months publishling. the current book is good till the end of june
