I meant black box under third brake light

 

Does she have one of those third brake lights that varies its flashing depending on how hard you are decelerating?

 

Steve, back in 2013 or 2014 MSW came out with a multifunction remote, and Dave mounted the receivers behind the third brake light. I think only his car, mine, and possibly FatBillyBob’s were equipped with them, but someone else may have had a similar idea with your car. The remotes that we used had at least twice the range of the OEM and because they were multifunction it was really handy to be able to open the boot remotely with a couple sacks of groceries, and I had even intended to wire my gas door to it as well..

If you have a non-stock fob, it may be talking to that box.

I will undo straps banditry to identify it. It has tiny coax connector
