I'm getting ready to order a black 430 coupe. What color of interior is best for resale....beige or black? I'm not looking to do any special stitching or seat inserts. It's an easy decision when the exterior is red. Most people expect to see a beige interior (at least in the USA). But on a black car what color of interior is preferred? I'm only expecting to keep the car until I can order a 430 CS next fall.

I don't think you can go wrong with either black or tan. If you we to choose something else I might suggest otherwise.

    Good Luck & Congrats

I will say, personally, I would purchase a Blk/Blk coupe

Tan with black inserts looks pretty bueno. Tripple black is also good but not too snazzy ;)

Resale wise I doubt it'll make a difference - black and beige are both safe bets. Personally out of the two I'd have beige leather, but would definitely go for black carpets - I hate beige carpets!

ALthough I'd probably prefer Black/rosso hide/black carpet, or black/black daytona hide w. crema inserts/black carpet, though I don't think either of those combo's would be as safe a bet for resale as either black or beige hide.

Black or Tan interiors are both perfect.

I would go for black interior, red tach, red stitching, red carpets, standard carbon finish, daytona with red inserts and delivery for october.

Myself, I always like black interior. However, the Cuoio (aka natural leather) interior shown in the link above grows on ya rather quickly :) I have a titanium 360 with black leather and love it. Black on the car is "okay", but I feel it doesn't show off the lines as well as some other colors. I remember I wanted a black 355 for a long time, but when I finally saw the car in person, I hated it. I ended up with silver on the 355.

Anyway, to date, the car shown in the link above is the nicest looking 430 I've seen yet. Of course, the photos from the $5K camera probably help :)

i would go with tan without a doubt, i looks so much better in my opinion to have that contrast, and i really dont like the daytona inserts, however just getting the style seat is nice, i would then get shields, a yellow tach, and yellow callipers, for a really nice looking car but its your money, you should really do what you like best and what fits your lifestyle best, i dont know too many people who drive ferraris after a hard days construction work, but if you are going to be dirty well driving the car, you dont want a light color interior,
    just a thought

No offense, but that's an excellent example of why you should go with black if you plan to ever re-sell the car :)

Rubbish! I've seen Clive's car and it looks fabulous. He would not have the slightest difficulty in selling it. Bear in mind tastes are different around the world. In the US by far the most popular Ferrari colour combo is red with tan interior. In Europe it is red with black interior, in the UK it is red with cream interior.

    Why does it matter?

You should buy what YOU like, the rest be damned!!

This thread, and others like it, remind me of the 1950's houses with the plastic covers on the sofas. Always keeping them perfect, but you had to sit on plastic...

You should of course keep it nice but if you want to add stripes, do so, want to add carbon, do so

If you like tan, buy tan, if you like red, buy red.

To many opinions, buy what YOU like...

I have a girlfriend from Malaga and I saw her tan butt wearing a thong at the pool and what a nice color, sort of bronze with a hint of olive and it was coruscating with little drops of sweat and tan lotion, the contrast of tan lines was so lickable.... Now that I think, maybe next time I'll have her go with me to Ferrari and have them coior code the leather from her ass cheeks.

Well, I like black interior myself. I think re-selling a car with an interior that is custom selected to the owner's taste is tricky. The original question on this thread wasn't if you like it, it was which color interior was best for resale. The answer to that question is probably black or tan. When you start getting into colors that bring up images of pop tarts and cherry cakes, you are into some very specific/narrow taste, and thus that reduces the number of people who would buy the car.
