I just looked at a bunch of threads on this and I find it confusing. I am looking at a 360 with one Black fob and no pin. What are my options? can I send out the black fob to get it cloned or do I need to get the entire ecu alarm 3 fobs from my dealer.

    Thanks,

    AK

The BEST thing would be for the dealer to provide you with all the fobs (2 blacks + 1 red) AND the alarm PIN for free (or a small fee).

The next best thing would be to clone the black one that you have. For this you would need the help/service of certain F-chat members (I could not recall who can do this now?)

Gobble knows how to do this. Contact him. But remember that if you only have one remote, you must send it to whomever is going to clone it and of course there's a risk of something happening to it in which case you're SOL.

FNA can provide you with your original PIN code, but the last time someone tried, they wanted $471 just for the PIN. You would then need to buy a new set of three fobs with new PIN for $500-750.

If the 360 is coming from an FNA dealer, make providing you with a working set of three fobs a condition of purchase. They can get the old PIN for free, they charge customers for it, though.

Cloning is a viable option and Gobble has been very reliable.

In case you have a hard time sleeping, here is most of what you need to know about fobs. Not too difficult once you understand it, Greek until then. The good news is you are far from the first person with this problem. At least I had my original PIN.

I went through a few other posts via the search button and found it a bit confusing. So I can just send one away and have it cloned to 3. However that would leave me with 2-3 Black Fobs with no Pin.

    1. Any downside to that?
    2. Also who is the person on FChat that can do it?

    Thanks,

    AK

IMHO as long as you have some extra fobs, that's good enough. If you lose one, then you've still got 2 to use. The PIN is only necessary when you have lost all your fobs or your fob has died and you are away from your house. But I doubt many people have ever needed to use the PIN.

Look up "Gobble" on f-chat and send him a PM. He's the guy who can clone your fob.
