It served us well, but now our focus is on the GYEON and KAMIKAZE lines of automotive coatings and related maintenance products.

Todd, if a person were to work on completely detailing a car from using a clay bar to possible buffing, what products would you recommend if you were doing your personal car? (not interested in the sponges, or buffing pads, just the products to apply). Thanks

If buffing was involved, then I'd recommend Sonax Perfect Finish for a polish.

For protection / gloss, I would recommend Gyeon Can Coat (up to about 6 months durability), or if you're really a DIY person, try out Gyeon Mohs coating which will give you a year or two.

    Sonax Perfect Finish 250ML
    Gyeon Q2 CanCoat - 200ml
    Gyeon Q2 MOHS - 30ml

Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

Thanks Todd, I am a do it yourself person. Actually it is therapy which means I probably need therapy. The Gyeon Q2 MOHS is out of stock. Will you be getting it in soon?

Also, what would you recommend for a daily detailer after the treatment? Thanks

The Mohs 30ml is expected in any day now, so you can place your order to secure the discounted price, and we will ship the backorder as soon as it arrives.

The Mohs comes with a maintenance product called Cure. Use that on occasion. Don't use quick detailers on it, and don't use quick detailer / Cure as a replacement for washing!

Ok, will place order tonight. May be a stupid question, but my car really never sees rain and I normally just use a detailer to keep it looking good. So, based on the above, I would have to wash the car each time it gets road dust on it?

I know the car will not melt, but I would rather just wipe it clean after every drive.

    Thanks for the help.

Road dust is abrasive, and wiping it down (even with a detailer) will scratch and cause swirls.

I'd rather have a dusty car with great paint, than dust-free swirly paint!

Amen. I wash my car just about once a week during the driving season because, as Todd says, you really just want to rinse away / float away the road dust and other abrasives. If your surface is prepped right, then washing is very easy as nothing sticks. A little bit of a gentle rub down with a nice soap product, and you've got a great looking car. I spray mine down with detailing spray after the wash to help deepen the gloss as well. It helps catch any stray water spots too.

Washing away dust is a safer solution as opposed to rubbing it in in-place.

    +1!!!
NEVER dry wipe a car (that includes detailer spray on a dusty car), it's a guaranteed way to get swirls. I touch the paint the least amount that I have to. I don't even dry it by hand, I use the Master Blaster that delivers gently warmed, filtered high velocity air.

I wash water wash my car every other drive (short drives) or every time (long drives).

This is the best way to reduce micro scratches.
