The ads have been "leaked" and some released. I don't think I will pick anything up this year, maybe a LCD tv to replace my borrowed 13" :D What are you picking up this year, if anything?

    Ha ha ha.

I think I'm gunna try and pick up some higher-end home theater components... unfortunately, it's only ever so often that something worth picking up goes on sale.

I will probably pick up all the gifts I can though :D

Can you even get ANYTHING for $50 from there? I'll take it if you're giving it out for free. I need some headphones. :D

My gf was just talking about that. She wants me to go and sit in those lines for some tvs or appliances. I haven't agreed to anything yet. We are looking to move this spring or early summer so we need some new stuff. LCD's are on sale like crazy but I'm not sure if its worth standing in those damn lines. I have never been but a friend of mine used to go every year/

The catalog they sent with it had the holiday specials :)
    audio combo 5200
    home phone combo 1250
    Audio Visual set 10125

I'll check when I get home I don't think it had a minimum or a thing that said you had to buy one of those things. If I still had the store in somerset mall in troy here I would go get a new pair of a8 headphones. Heck form 2's are 100 bucks buy it on the right day and just pay tax :). I know it has to be a store no online buys. Shoot me your address and Ill send it out.

Walmart is having 50% one of a 50" Panasonic Plasma. You do know you'll have to get there at 2am to get in line? LMAO, dude, if you agree she owes you big time. You could use this against her for years. Maybe it's worth it. Not;) lol

Thats why I'm not looking forward to it. Plus a friend of mine would get to Best Buy at 12am and he said last year there was already a line of close to 100 people. NO THANKS!!!!!!!

Haha, 2AM?! You'll definitely miss out. We were there once at 11pm. My buddy scouted the place, found an electrical outlet, brought a looooong extension cord, and a surge protector. Time of our lives. :D This was such a long time ago, I think we bought a laptop, I bought some cheap mp3 player, that some lady snatched out of my hand, and the Best Buy guy yelled at her, and we had Krispy Kreme, and coffee served, along with cops saying, if you cut, you'll get a ride with him. :D

Yea it's ridiculous. I remember driving home from Chappel Hill last year and it was 9:30pm probably and there were at least 15 people in line. I'll spend an extra couple hundred bucks if I can avoid that.

Not a big fan of crowds and lines either but I may run out and grab a few blu-rays or PS3 games.

Pre-Black Friday deals at MicroCenter, got the email this morning. Some pretty good bargains,

On BlackFriday I'll be picking up my margarita, 1000 miles from the nearest store.

Hey, thanks for the offer. I actually just got a pair of Usher Audio CP loudspeakers this summer. I'd love to get some B&O's for the home theater at some point- right now I'm trying to pick up either Marantz's higher-end receiver, or Denon's higher-end receiver(s).

I haven't gone Blu-ray yet though, either. Ugh... technology.

    Thanks again,
    Colin

I saw the leaked ads too... looks to me like the best deals are on lesser LCDs -- 720p resolution and smaller sizes mostly. If you're looking for really good television deals on the better stuff, I think you're probably looking at taking a chance on unadvertised stuff at whatever store you're going to -- the open-box deals, etc.

I've been comparison shopping for a television for a while now and planned to wait until bf or before Christmas, but ended up grabbing a 46" Sharp LC-46D64U from my local Costco on sale last weekend. $999, 1080p, 4ms repsonse time, 10,000:1 contrast ratio -- couldn't be happier and hundreds of $$ more everywhere else. Don't feel that most bf deals will touch that. Plus Costco has their 90 return policy should I find a better deal in that time (and extends the MF warranty to two years, rather than one -- Best Buy or the like will charge at least a couple hundred dollars for that).
