Let me be the first to reply. I have been looking for some time now for a white 355 gtb. Personally, I think any white fcar is stunning! Not to mention the rairety of a 348SS in white. It has to be the only one (am I right dr348?).
Now, I know everyone will say that black is better for resale reasons and whatever else, but I think you have to go with your instinct. I know that deep inside, your mind is made up... Go with it and disregard the resale!

    White car:
    1. White will definitely be tougher to re-sell. Plus you will need to endure thru the inevitable Miami Vice/Maytag man jokes at get-togethers. We have a White 355 owner in the Houston FCA club. :) I agree it looks beautiful - v. clean car from these pics.
    2. It has the regular 348 seats - from what I hear this is a plus from comfort standpoint but is a negative from a selling point. Also missing the spoiler lip

    Black car:
    1. Nice exterior
    2. Interior not as shiny as the white car's
    3. Should be easier to sell

Overall, if I had to choose between the two, I would go for the black car.

Resale value is only important if you want to move to another car in the next 3-4 years. If this is going to the car that you want to be buried with ;) then go for whatever tickles your fancy

Well, how can I vote against black...

White cleans up nicely, but you'll find it doesn't have the depth of black if you keep your cars very clean.

Actually there were 4 white 348 SS's, 3 with tan and one with black interior. Maybe the only one with leather seats. I would have to look, but about a third were black.

The white one does look stunning, but black is the way to go. Personal choice really.

Get the white,...the black hides the contours of the car. Plus its hard to keep clean. We had a white 89' TR and sold it very quick.

Black, but wouldn't rarity of model/color help the white car for resale? I don't see how that could hurt it. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either one...

I guess I'm allowed to hijack my own thread. ;)

Cool car PinoyP. Here's my 02 Porsche C4 cab with stock wheels and then black (I've put winter tires on the stock wheels and summers on the black). Definitely gives it a more aggressive look.

ALL of our current cars are black. Before that we had all white. I haven't decided yet on the Ferrari. Wife likes the white (she likes yellow, but I think I'd rather have something not quite so bright), I like the black. Wouldn't mind spicing up the interior of the black one a bit -- it's a bit drab.

Don't powercoat them. The wheels really make the car stand out. BTW, the black on red looks great. Very nice combo.

They both look very nice. But black looks just that little bit nicer. Only just IMO. :):)

I feel your dilemma. Actually the first 348 I REALLY WANTED was white. (i wonder where that car went?) Ultimately I ended up with a black one! I get the feeling I would have loved it no matter what color I bought. Flip a coin! You cant go wrong either way!

Alfie! That red interior on a black car is nice! I like the white wheels too.

It looks better in the flesh than pics.

It makes the car look lower and longer.

    but....

You have to keep cleaning it!!!

Had I known they made black 348's like angelis's, I would have bought one instead of my black 355!! Nice one angelis!! Especially the 355 wheels ;)!!

Cleaning is the price to pay for a superior look!!!

Doc, u live in a church?! Cool car even with the spats.

I vote for black only because the black interior is so much easier to keep clean and fresh looking. White 348's are interesting looking though.

Angelis, you dog, I love your car! How did u get the rear end to stand up like that?
