I'm getting my taillights in the F430 blacked out this week to look like the lights Autobahn just did (see picture)

Has anyone every seen the 3rd brake light (on deck lid) blacked out? Is there a safety concern to do so?

Any thoughts or pictures of it would be helpful..I need to give my customization shop an answer ASAP.

it would look better if everything was uniform.

if you like the blacked-out look, then do the tail lights, the third brake light, and the reflectors/side marker lights too.

keep it all red or make it all black

    just my humble opinion.

Ditto, It looks awkward having a silver body color, the black tail lights, and another color (red) for the other reflectors. IMO get them all black. Would be an A++ :D

Thanks for the input..I was just worried about nightime visibility of the car. I'll see if I can change my order to include 3rd brake light.

How does one go about tinting the tail lights?

It's a paint, sprayed on. Unless you get the Novitec lights which are smoked in the housing.

It's on...I not only added the option to black out to the deck lid brake light but told him to pull and black out ALL lenses/lights front and back (except headlights)...black/black F430 with black rims, tint and blacked out lights..I'm gonna change my handle to Darth Vader!

I get the car back on Friday, so I'll post pics up by weekend (Ferrari traditionalists-won't be your cup of tea).

Getting everthing done in Dallas, Tx. for under $700.00 cash..they use a type of paint sprayed to inside of lenses.

PM me if your in town and want to get done, I'll give you the contact info...they do great work..just added asanti grills, limo tint and wheels to my '07 esclade esv for me.
