Can one of you fellow obsessive compulsive detailers tell me the best method for shining the black panel behind the rear glass and forward of the engine louvers? Is this suitable for wax or do "black chrome" type finishes work better?

Just got my baby back from her major at Ferrari of Central Florida. That first drive home was so sweet.

    Wax it is.

What about the black trim around the bottom (for those of us who haven't painted it yet.)

Soap and water. But be careful - that layer of black paint is VERY thin. Scrub too hard and you'll rub through to the next layer of paint, which actually MATCHES THE REST OF YOUR CAR!

Me no waxy that area. Too hard to reach. Unless I was naked (ewww...), I'd be afraid I might scratch other parts of the bodywork with my clothes.

I use Meguiar's Back to Black. It gives the lower panels a satin sheen, and is easy to apply. Long-lasting to boot.

You mean you don't wax naked? I thought everyone did...
Next thing you'll be telling me to shut my garage door too.

(And I used the back to black type stuff previously on both the rear deck and the trim. Worked great on trim, poorly on the deck.)

    Thanks for the expert advice.
