Black Pieces/ Stripes, Etc.

The black trim piece between the headlights is Nero Velluto (gloss metallic black). The A pillars, lower mirror caps, base/default roof, rear aero flaps, and rear spoiler lip are all Nero DS (gloss non-metallic black). The lower trim pieces (front spoiler, side skirts/sills, and rear diffuser) are nero opaco - matte non-metallic black.

 

Are you sure that the lower trim pieces are painted in nero opaco?
I think they are just standard black plastic parts

 

You're correct - I don't think the lower trim pieces are painted, that's just how the finish is described.

 

Anyone know the official paint colors for really dark grey metallic paints which arent Nero but are darker than grigio silverstone

Interestingly, I think you can get the lower trim pieces painted in CdF so if you really wanted to make as much of the car one colour as possible, you could do PPE1 CdF along with CdF for the exterior paint. Unfortunately, the trim piece between the headlights can only be Nero Velluto or carbon fiber, there's no other choice that I've seen.

 

I don't think there's even a CF option for it.

 

Yeah, if there is, it is not listed on my dealer’s CF exterior options list…

 

As I wrote in another thread, my dealer added the option FBWC to my configuration ("Front bumper insert in Carbon" ). From the pictures, it seems that the black plate between the headlights is in carbon, but I am not sure and I did not get a cost estimate for this option.

On Eurospares they describe the left and right rear aero flaps as painted in "Nero Velutto". Or is it just for the Coupé?

I think this piece is for the inlet at the internal opening which also extends to the rectangular shapes at the outside of the inlets which are integrated with the lower lip spoilers

I’m not sure if this option includes the thin linear trim piece located below the black plexiglass strip which is painted in NERO DAYTONA metallic paint along the posterior rear surface.

 

I had also heard this previously - that the flaps would be Nero Velluto - but at least on the cars I saw in person (Rosso Imola coupe and Verde Toscana spider), it appeared to be non-metallic gloss black like the roof, as opposed to the metallic front bar between the headlights (which is Nero Velluto).

Not sure if the production cars will be different than the prototypes, in fairness.

 

Even on the online configurator you see the differences. On the Coupé the flaps look distinctively velvet matt when you select the solid Nero DS, whereas on the Spider the boot lid and the flaps look identical to Nero DS.

Okay I believe that the small thin strip of plastic beneath the reverse painted plexiglass strip (Over my dead body Not changeable)
is the standard dull black plastic which is matching the rest of the standard lower body trim .

 

There is multiple different Black on the car. Standard plastic without painting, non metallic black A-pillars and rear flaps, which look an feel like cheap plastic, suppose they are, non painted. Tinted black glass roof and rear window, metallic paint between the front lights. So much different black shades look horrible in the flash, to be honest. Supposedly the transfer from the design studio to the production with its cost reglementations is a problem…

 

For those who want a black car, which black will work best.

Glossy Nero DS or an opaque black or metallic black (Daytona vs Stellatto vs Purosangue)

 

Paint all black parts in body color and everything is ok. Not a real solution for a 450k car, but it should work.

 

So Ive decided to do all the lower exterior trim in Factory Carbon

Its expensive but actually less than the cost of regret and later replacement in the after market world
