post me a fax # and will do it tomorrow also the run pp did was cool to apart from the dirt track.what ya driving.
oh, paul knows the roads in adelaide. as for no hiding cops - WRONG! there are usually 2 unmarked camera cars down strathalyn way most days. a white and bronze 4 wheel drives with cameras facing front and rear and a camers was hidden in a rubbish bin in mylor last weekend. the biggest issue these days is the constantly reducing speed limits and the extended 60km/h zones around the small hills towns.
yes we do have some great driving roads, i especially love Basket Range but what i really liked about the photos was the tall trees & the "rainforest" feel, which Adelaide doesn't have. I really enjoyed the roads in Tasmania for that reason, especially around Weldborough no hiding cops huh? where are you going? Like Waz mentioned the hidden cameras are popping up EVERYWHERE. Aswell as Strath & Mylor , i here there is one at Cudlee Creek & Gorge Rd is a no no now, A mate of mine rode is bike thru looking for the camera at the speed limit, he didn't find it, but he did get a fine in the mail a couple days later for being a few k's over the limit - that's how well they are hiding them!
How i miss the black spur. We do laps there from the start of the nice smooth road to the picnic ground and turn around and repeat n rinse.Heading towards hillsville on the small straight we hit the crest at 200 plus lifting the front wheel, then reaching upto 250kph before some very very hard braking for the slight right hander. As mentioned, theres guaranteed to be riders coming off there every weekend. Last few times i was there there was slight gravel on a few corners which i treated which caution. Also locals have been known to deliberately spill diesel fuel on corners. Here is a link of a mate on his now deceased 2005 gsxr 1000 doing a moderate run to the picnic ground. http://video.google.com.au/videoplay?docid=-6873953500059507712&hl=en-AU This is of another guy i know. He low sided his old 2004 zx10r at the black spur. He suffered no injuries. Just his pride and bike was hurt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ICPsuXbnls&mode=related&search=
some of the most irresponsible crap I have seen, you guys should have your licenses removed permanently or your medicare increased to include your whole pay packet, I'll be buggered if I'm paying for your stupidity
i went there on saturday on my bike. i did NOT ride like that. a car coming the other way....geez..it would be all over for that ZX10
having said that, however, i wish i could ride like the bloke in the first vid...i WOULDN'T...but i wish i could.
yes...i wish i had the skill like to ride a bike that well on a racetrack. and overtaking over unbroken lines and wheelies on the road...big deal. i don't have a problem with that, really. bikes are so massively fast. BUT that speed continually on THAT road? there's a reason why it's a motor bike black spot.
agree totally JM no point being a 'good rider' if it isnt coupled with commonsense save it for PI ride days
The only flaw in that theory is they don't actually let you do stuff like that on a racetrack anymore. Any sign of silliness and you are black flagged and booted off for the day in my experience.
no I came towards him and on the way back he was in the 40k area I raced up to him braked and later on nailed it.In the jag.
I didn't see any bikes go off while I was on it on Saturday, but I did get stuck for a while because a Falcon screwed up big time.... I would like everyone to go check my comment about drivers early in this thread...
yes as you come out of the hill stuff and back on the flat run.seen around Kangaroo flat also near the fire look out.
i didn't see you anywhere!! i saw the left overs of a motor bike sitting in a ditch just before kinglake.
