I was through early afternoon, I actually took my wife out to the waterfall seeing she had never seen it either.
Drove the Acheron Way yesterday, bad move, should have turned around once the road became dirt, what dirt/dust?, Pouring rain and windy, so ruts, puddles, mud, slush, wash-ways, fallen branches, a complete mess, oh and fog and freezing cold, like 4c Why part of this road is still dirt is beyond me. This road should have been closed on days like yesterday Massive cleaning job now, never again dirt roads in a non 4x4
A great day had by all, and with weekdays, not much traffic/tourists/4x4's/bikers [or police] either... Of course i pull up at the start and wait till the cars in front are miles away, and take off before anybody else gets in front of me. A few hairy "moments ",,, as you do, but we did not speed or over the limit, all very well behaved!
Man. you are crazy, that road is boarder-line not suitable for normal vehicles, let alone a low slung sports car, a 4x4 track in parts, well, was in winter and the day i was there. Thinking back, dust is perhaps better than wet/mud/slush, but your air filter would not have enjoyed it
I can assure you it wasn't intentional! There were a couple of motorbikes too......what a friggin mess.
Strange that you mentioned that, a Indian national, doing a UBER eats delivery on his moped going down that billy-goat-track, WTF?
