Guys, There is a Black Testarossa for sale at a dealer in Adelaide. It's on drive.com.au and is listed as a 1990 with under 10,000 kms and is for sale for about $160k. Does anyone know this car and its history and what would be a good price for a 'non-resale red' of this year and mileage? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, ACP
that's down the road from me, far as i can tell it's been there for a couple years, i've gawked at it a few times and dreamed but no i have no info sorry
Chassis number? I think I know who the first owner was. Price wise, ball park wholesale is probably $130-135k.
Thanks. I'll try and find out the chassis number. I am a bit concerned it hasn't travelled far, I know that Testarossas can be a real nightmare if they're not regularly maintained. A lot of car for $130k, although a F355 probably makes more sense.
goober's TR has mileage like that. it's immaculate and goes great, and i'm not talking about up and down the cafe strip either... although i think goober also owns a horde of mechanics, whenever he parks his cars they seem to emerge from the shadows like oompa-loompas and make sure everything is perfect.
That's wholesale, the dealer has got to make a living It doesn't take much to spend $10k on getting a garage queen TR going properly. It's engine out for belts and you WILL find more to do whilst it's out. FWIW, I did 18,000 miles in a TR including a Targa Tasmania and 2 GP rallies. Also did a ton of club track days and runs. It was a very reliable car all in all; but it was used regularly. I can't remember a problem other than having to constantly feed it tyres and brakes due to the usage. Totally different to a 355. Apples and Oranges, depends on what you want.
Thanks. There's a few older higher mileage examples for around $130k, although I would pay more obviously for a better example and this one may fit that bill. But then again $175k for a really good F355 excites me too! I'll see how I go.
