    I'm looking to get a Pearl 8130 (black) along with a 500MB data plan from Bell. I would use this mostly for texting, e-mailing and internet, but I watched a youtube video and one simple page took roughly 15-20 seconds to load. Is this the norm or is it faster? I've used the Storm and its certainly fast but its 3G.

    Bell being Verizon ? Yes, the lag time is still there for data plans on phones. I have 3G and it still takes 15-20 seconds to load a page on the phone. If you're expecting instantaneous feedback - you probably aren't going to get it. While it can download like a dial-up type of line, the initial request to get data still takes longer than from a computer type of connection. Not sure why since they can get touch to talk working. Probably has something to do with connecting to the wireless providers proxy, getting data and then tunneling that data back through their network/wireless to get back to you.

    Sorry, forgot to add - texting is not usually counted in the data plan. It's a separate plan.
