    Hi All,

I was thinking of doing a matte black grille wrap on a blu roma ... not sure what anyone else thinks of that or whether anyone has tried it. If so, what were your results? Here are pics for inspriation... I think I like it better; but not sure yet. Will be taking it in on Wednesday for this... if it looks better, will keep it blacked out. If not, will go back to clear PPF

I really like the clean look of the same color grill. With the gap between the splitter and the grill, having another color or matte “texture” throws it off for me. But that’s definitely a personal preference.

The black looks good, although my personal favorite is the aluminum to contrast with the car color. However, I'm not sure how you could wrap a grill, exactly ... that would be a bear. I suppose it could be plasti-dipped pretty easily, though, and easily reversible, assuming the grill detaches easily.

I do like the reduced reflections off the edges of the grille holes , but that’s such a small and pedantic thing that it makes no significant difference overall

The issue that I think the darker grille fixes is the appearance when light is not shining on this car from above ... when the light is coming from the front, it looks weird because the car’s design is intended to take advantage of lighting from above to create the color contrast difference between the light and shaded areas . I think forcing the areas that are normally dark shaded to always be dark solves the aesthetic issue . Example of issue in pics below (both of same car, but different lighting, and both taken prior to application of black wrap on grille) . You can see how heavily it relies on the grille being in the shade
