    Oh, and interesting the viscosity of the Castrol 20w50 is consistantly low.

    the only copper/brass in there is the guides for the valves and the seats for the valves, right? It's been a while, but I don't recall any other places you'd be picking that up from.

    I did replace them when the engine was rebuilt. You have the records on that, and I don't know how many miles have been put on the car since then.

    I'd also suggest a conversation with the mechanic at Algar who did the rebuild, he'd have the best insight into your copper numbers in the oil. 610-527-1100 ask for Tony in the service dept.

    I have a feeling that high copper is endemic to these old cars.

    I'd love to see oil analyses from other owners.

    I'm thinking of adding a bit of the GM break-in additive some folks advocate.
