Earlier I saw a posting on installing the above radio into a F430. I just purchased it and spoke to a company in New Jersey who said it should be a plug and play (A,B,C1,C2,C3,antenna). The posting said to disarm connection A2 but the NJ company said this was not necessary. The car came with a Becker 6115 and the high powered subwoofer. Any thoughts on making changes to the wiring? I'm planning to buy spacer harnesses (male-female with 6" wires so that any cuts or changes can be made into them and not the car's harness.

    Thank you

Just to clear this up, when replacing the factory 6105 Becker in my 430 with the Blaupunkt, the unit had no sound until I removed the A2 pin. I actually twisted the pin off in the radio so I wouldn't have to mess with the harness at all. The Blaupunkt lists this pin as the phone mute or something like that. The wiring diagram on my stock Becker unit listed nothing at this pin location, but the Blau unit showed it was muted with that pin connected. I used a meter and found that the factory harness was sending a 12V+ to the A 2 pin which caused the Blau to think it was receiving a mute command. Best way to determine would be to unplug the radio and put a meter on that pin in the factory harness - if you get a 12V+ you will have the same issue. I'm guessing the company you talked to looked at the factory Becker wiring diagram that shows that the A2 pin isn't used, but isn't aware that there could be voltage there...

The are several threads on radio replacements and harnesses. I replaced my head unit with an Alpine and purchased an adapter to plug into the car's connector and then spliced the Alpine's harness into that. This is same as you are planning to do so don't have to modify the car wiring and you would not have to pull pins and the back of the radio. Although you are using another Becker unit, I recommend you take that action. Review my posts on this thread ...

Note that pin A2 on the Blaupunct unit I took out was not mute .. It was reverse lamp. I would not swear that pin functions are entirely consistent on all Blaupuncts.
