Finally had some time to put up a blog that I had in mind for quite some time. This is more about my own Mondial with the YT movies we made together and some other interesting info in the near future. There is also a reference to Paul's Blog for more general info. More then happy to add more blogs or websites if you have one.

My Ferrari Mondial 3.2 | Sharing my experience about owning a Ferrari Mondial (3.2)

    Enjoy!

    Cheers,

Fine, only 2 bolts to undo: an oil line and a engine mount. Next week I'm pulling out the engine. Found that the hieldshield under the rear trunk had a hole, so I'll replace that as well. Was hanging on just 2 rivets!! The rest were gone. Also the support beam to which it was attached, close to the rear bumper, is dead: only about 15% remains after rust was having it for souper. The rest of the rust in the engine bay and undertray is only surface rust which I'm removing, reprimering, repainting etc.

Guys, I made a cross reference part list as well. It is specific to the 3.2, but most of it, besides the electical modules etc, applies to earlier versions as well. Obviously the 328 has the same stuff on the engine and uses the same ECUs as the Mondial 3.2

Part cross reference - My Ferrari Mondial 3.2

Expanding still, but I add part once I have checked the (exsiting) cross reference(s).

    Enjoy!

This reference list is awesome. Thanks for compiling it.

If I'm not mistaken, one minor change may need to be made – with regards to the heater valve:

BMW Part Number: My understanding is 64111468528 was superseded by 64111373188. (Or is it the other way around? Now I'm not so sure. I have to check my records)

The equivalent Bosch number is correct.

I researched and bought this valve last year for my 1987 BMW 528e, er... I mean Mondial 3.2.

A side note for anyone looking to buy a new valve, just make sure to get the correct one for your car. There were two slightly different versions of this valve, and they are NOT interchangeable. The above part numbers are correct for the 3.2 that I have. And I saved about $300+ by getting the BMW part, not the one with the yellow box and horsie on it.

    Don't forget the brakes,

Rear Calipers and Pads - 99 Kia Sephia Fronts Calipers and pads are the exact same. Also applies to 328.

Front brakes cross over to 3/5 series BMW.

All confirmed and used multiple times on different cars.

    FYI Joe Frazar

Was looking into this yesterday, but it appears there are also Toyota Calipers for the front. :-S

Joe, did you fit the BMW ones on your 3.2?

Great work, the Mondial seems about the most robust Ferrari made, lots of high miles ones, seems to be THE daily drive of the range

Has anyone tried buying and fitting LED headlights to update the front headlights? Or even the rear lamps?
