Hi guys, I may have made a mistake and now looking at fixing it. I wanted a Lamborghini my entire life and never had one until now. I have owned 3 Ferraris and was always happy with them. I now have a Gallardo Egear and kind of realize it is not a car for me. I'm 60 now and prefer the old school stuff and the electronic controls are bugging me more than I thought.
I owned my 308 for near 20 years and loved that car and also loved my Mondial 3.2 so I think a 328 GTS would be a good mix of both.
I have found one in blu chiaro at a dealer willing to take my Gallardo in trade and with a very attractive price. He is ready to give me some cash in the trade which is a good thing.

The car show 54k kilometer an is a very clean driver. Not a super clean prime exemple but not a rough neglected car. Paint is very nice and very shiny. Interior is very presentable and seats are soft but been redyed. It is magnolia in color.
It has no real history ormaintenance records. No books and no tools. Spare tire is there.
The car start and run on first try and run very well. Clean and very complete engine compartment.
I know blue 328 are not very commun and I like that fact.

Some may know me here as I've been around for many years with my other 3 cars but it's been a few years back now.
I'm a mechanic and know my stuff very well so please don't tell me to have a good ppi and all that **** as I don't need these advice.

But I'd like comments about what you think of a BLU CHIARO 328 GTS. I wanted my next Ferrari to be red on tan but this is a nice opportunity for me now and I loved the color of my blue sera Mondial and this is very close to it. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Looks great in that color. I would perfer it over red for sure. Go buy (trade) the car now!

If you care about such things, in a gathering of F-cars, there will be a bunch of red 328's and your car will stand out.

Blue is rare on the 328. If it's a good car, go for it.

One of the 2 or 3 best in the post Enzo era in a rare color. Looks like Crema interior. Great combination.

    Buy it.

Love that color. The only issue is its harder to resell as most just want a red car. But as a color, its fantastic.

I think if you asked Michael at M Brandon he'd support me. I suspect blue 328s are not a difficult sale.

Since brand new blues were very popular but salesmen convinced people to buy red.

And that particular metallic blue is pretty amazing.

And I remember always having good comments on the color of my blu sera Mondial.
I'm sure the red is easier to sell as I was myself looking for a red car. Price for price and condition for condition I would choose the red over blue. But in my actual situation I don't have that choice and for a red car I would probably have to spend at least 25 to 30k more which is a nonsense for the same fun. And the blue will bring more conversation than the red.

For the interior color I thought it was magnolia but it can be crema as Brian said. What is the difference between the two.

    Same thing.

Actually, according to that chart it's not the same. But on the TR people often refer to the Magnolia interior as cream.

I have never known what is referred to as magnolia. It is not a factory name for an interior color. What most call tan or beige, (the most common) is properly called beige, VM4208.
Crema is near white. VM3997. Looks great in blue cars. Need to be very careful. It gets dirty easily.

That chart is not a 328 era color chart nor are the names correct.

This is the list of 328 colors with the Connoly code numbers.
    Beige VM 4208
    Blu VM 3282
    Crema VM 3997
    Grigio VM 3393
    Nero VM 8500
    Rosso VM3171

According to this Magnolia is the English translation of Crema. Maybe cream sounded too pedestrian. They're both VM3997

Can you show me where Ferrari ever referred to it as Magnolia? I was in the dealer when TR was in production and never heard the word. Can you give me a color code? I am happy to be corrected.

Its not cream, its crema. Incorrect translations dont make the grade for color names. It why universally the Italian names are used...to prevent misunderstandings.

Rosso Corsa is Rosso Corsa I don't care what anyone else chooses to call it.

I'll see if I can find that chart again. Maybe it was a Connolly thing - it's showing up in RR circles also.

I'd be drawn to your car because it's Blue. I have a White 328GTB with a license NOT RED for a reason.
Didn't you have a Yellow TR? Or at least HAD a Testarossa. You don't mention that.

For a fourth Ferrari, one would think you've gotten over the car must be red by now.
