I haven't bought a DVD in years... I love my Apple TV and I "rent" movies on it constantly. My current home theater setup doesn't even have a DVD player connected to it. Just my Apple TV.

However, I do miss to ability to watch some of my favorites over and over again.. and I can't justify renting the same move multiple times (especially at $3-5 bucks a pop). So my dilema now is do I go buy a Blu-Ray set up and a collection of my favorite movies, and just carry on with my Apple TV rentals for the rest? Or do I start "buying" my favorites via iTunes digitally?

On one hand, I like the idea of having a nice shelf stocked with my favorite movies... on the other had I also I love my iPad and I always travel with it.. it would be nice to be able to load my movies onto that too.

    Thoughts?

It sounds like, from a utility perspective, you should consider downloading the movies that you want to watch again and again, as long as you have the hard drive space for it.
